Facilities
Facilities are extremely limited. Please bring all your own drink and food, including drinking water. There are toilets there but they are very basic outside toilets. There is plenty of room to picnic and there is shelter if it's wet.
Most Important: You will go through 2 gates as you enter the sailing area. These must be closed behind you because of the livestock.
Directions
Naseby Reservoir is situated just South of Welford Village on the junction of the A14 and A5199. See map beneath directions.
Travelling via Husbands Bosworth head South towards Northampton on the A5199 until you pass through Welford Village. When you cross the A14 take the left turn situated immediately on the end of the A14 Bridge. There is a red sign to Biffa waste landfill site—see below.
Travelling via the M1 to junction 19 take the A14 towards Kettering and the first exit is the A5199 signed to Welford and Northampton.
The slip road off the A14 will turn you back on yourself and bring you to a tee junction. Turn left towards Northampton and only cross the A14 bridge, turning immediately left into the Biffa track—see below.
Coming from Kettering on the A14 take the last exit off the A14 before the M6 / M1 interchange (A14 junction 1) signed to Welford and Northampton A5199.
The slip road off the A14 will turn you back on yourself and bring you to a tee junction on the A5199 with Welford to your left and Northampton to your right, the Biffa track will be almost opposite, so turn left and immediately right into the Biffa landfill track. If you re-cross the A14 you’ve missed it—see below.
On entering the Biffa track Go slowly and beware of the large speed ramps, taking the right fork in the track and proceed to Biffa gates. The entrance to Naseby Sailing Club is via the small farm gate to the left of Biffa’s entrance, which MUST be closed for the livestock. The next gate is the entrance to our car park—this also MUST be kept closed because of livestock.
